Well, this week I started my graduate program. I started it a few days late due to being under the weather, but I managed to submit my assignments that were due yesterday and today. I have two due on Sunday that I have to submit and that will be my first week in the can. I am so excited and thankful to God for this opportunity. It was a long time coming. I hope to use this as a springboard to help victims of domestic violence. As a survivor of domestic violence, I feel it's very important to give back. I find that some people are lacking the resources they need to get out of their situations and once they do get out, they need help to get back on their feet. In light of the recent tragedy that happened with a player from the Kansas City Chiefs, and others like it that don't get the attention, it is very important that we have stronger laws regarding the safety and protection of the abuse as well as prosecution of the abusers. This affects people from all walks of life. It knows no color, race, socio-economic status, age, gender, religion, sexual orientation, etc. It affects everyone. There is still a stigma attached to it. Those who are being abused are afraid to sometimes come forward for fear of being rejected, told it will all work itself out or fear of the abuser. This must stop! We must take a stand. More on this subject later. Have a blessed one! Remember, God loves you and only wants the best for you! He created for you for more than you could have ever imagined. Don't limit God! Peace any Blessings!
