Don't Sweat the Small Stuff

There comes a time when we have to learn how not to sweat the small stuff. Instead of complaining about how things aren't, think about what things were or could have been. Look back at your life and see how blessed you are to be where you are today. Many of us are lucky to even be here to complain. Sometimes, we need to take a step back and reflect on what it is we are really complaining about. Most of the time, it's just not worth it. For instance, we can complain about how are children won't keep their room clean exactly the way we would like. As long as it's not totally filthy with food particles and such on the bed and floors and the room is relatively clean, what's the big fuss? Seriously, when you thing about the people who have lost their children for whatever reason, you can imagine how they would love to have their child be around to have a dirty room. How about your job? You can complain about how hard they work you for little pay and just pile more work on you and don't appreciate you. Well, think about all the people who have lost their jobs and are still looking. Be thankful you even have a job in this economy. If you don't like where you are, change it. If you need more skills, work on getting more skills. If your job is really that bad, look for another one, but don't complain about it. Last year, I spent most of the summer in and out of the hospital. From having emergency surgery, an infection, a blood clot, falling. I have realized that it's just not worth it to complain about things that just aren't that important. Life is too short to worry about the little stuff. Just enjoy what you have and where you are now. Peace and Blessings!
