On Saturday, my oldest daughter graduated from college! It was such a wonderful day! It seems like only yesterday that I held her in my arms. Now, she is a beautiful, caring, intelligent no-nonsense young woman. I am so very proud of her. In spite of the adversity heaped upon her in her early years, she has grown into a wonderful young woman who knows what she wants and how to get there without compromising her morals and her integrity! God has blessed her and I know He has great plans for her.
In the same week, I celebrated my birthday. 47! Wow! Where did all the time go? I missed all of my 20's and a couple of years of my 30;s due to the abuse my children and I went through. But, that is in the past and we have moved on! I am looking forward to life and enjoying it and living my purpose! It's not easy, but God has made a way and He opens doors that other people close and He closes doors that we have no business going through. He knows what is best for us and what we need and who is needed in our lives to get us to where He is taking us! God bless.
This is a blog about life in general. Just reflections that I have. I may throw in a few poems and pictures from time to time........I hope people who visit my blog will enjoy it and if not, let me know what I can change...in a constructive way, foul and offensive language will be deleted with the quickness. As will anything that is racist, sexist, etc. This is not the place for it. Take it elsewhere.

Don't Sweat the Small Stuff
Sometimes, people do things that irritate us, anger us and sadden us, or they speak wrong about us or treat us like crap. It's times like this that we must remember that God created us for a divine purpose. We are divinely created so we should not let people who did not create us dictate how we should feel about ourselves. It doesn't matter who the people who treat us like this are. We need to know that God loves us, He cares about us and He knows the plans he has for us. We should focus on living that purpose and plan. Live for God, not for man. God's ways are not man's ways. God's thoughts are not our thoughts. We need to be more in tune with God's wishes than man's opinions of us. So today, make it a point to go out and live God's purpose for your life. If you aren't sure, pray and wait for an answer! Trust me, you will be surprised and less stressed!

Cleaning House
Today, as I reflect back on some things, I have come to the conclusion that it is time to clean house. It is time to keep business separate from personal and personal separate from business with some folks, but with some people, the two definitely don't mix well. That is just the way it is. You have to keep some people strictly on a business level and remove them from your personal life. Why? Because when it comes to the personal side, sometimes, in spite of your best efforts, you just get kicked to the curb. You know you did nothing to deserve such treatment, on the contrary, you were your true self, caring, loving and provided and ear for those who needed it. Now, when you need an ear, or a kind word, what happens? No one is around. All you hear are crickets!! Everyone just disappears. You know their out there, lurking, watching, waiting for you to not notice them. But, you do. You see them very well. See them for what they are. So, if you need to clean house...do it. In the long run, it will be better for you.

First Post
Tuesday, May 11, 2010
This is my first blog post. It's 8:46pm and I am a little bored right now. Not really going ot post anything thought-provoking, sarcastic, funny, etc. Just wanted to say hello and welcome. What I will blog about is anybody's guess. I will just go with the flow. This might be fun. I hope it will be both fun and informative for me and anyone who may actually read this and care about anything I have to say. So, with that said, welcome to my blog and I hope that I can provide some comfort, information and humor to you as you read my blogs.
This is a big week for my family. Tomorrow is my birthday and on Saturday, my oldest will be graduating from college. I am so excited. I think I am more excited than she is. They grow up so fast. It seems like just yesterday that she was graduating from high school, and as second in her class I might add. I am very proud of her. She has come a long way. We all have. It's been a bumpy ride, but God has kept us and sustained us and I know He will continue to do so. I give Him all glory, honor and praise for greaty is thy faithfulness!
So, have a blessed night, hug your children/spouse/friends/signigicant other and give yourself a hug too! If we don't love ourselves first, how do we expect others to love us.
Peace and Blessings,
